OUR HISTORY
Humble beginnings
Our beginning was Wright's Furniture & Hardware. It was located at 118 S. Collins St. in downtown Plant City. The store was my great grandfathers, Ferris S. Wright. He opened the store in the early 1920's & and operated it until the time of his death in 1936. It was located across from the Plant City Auto Supply and Hagan's Lunch, which is now Snellgrove's Restaurant. In the photo on the left is Ross Wright, the brother of my great grandfather. On the right is Ferris Wright's son in-law Marcus W. Waller Jr. (My Grandfather) who in the 1950's purchased the store and renamed it Waller's Hardware. |
